13. A man sold two watches for 5568 each, one at a profit of 16% and other at a loss of 20% .
Find the cost price of the two watches.
b. Does the man gain or lose in the whole transaction?

a) cost of watches

first = 47

second = 85

b) man loses in the transaction

c) he lost 17- 8 = 9 rupees

formula for cp = 100 ×sp / 100+gain%

soooo,

100×5568/ 116 = 4800

formula for cp = 100×sp/100-loss%

sooo,

100×5568/80= 6960

now when we calculate, 4800+6960= 11760

then...5568×2= 11136

so, finnally he gained in whole transaction..
