here's ur answer...

given:-

side of the square=14cm

therefore area of the circle=side×side

=14×14

=196cm²

if the circle touches the side then there diameter is 14/2

=7cm

radius=7/2

=3.5cm

area of one circle=πr²

=22/7×3.5×3.5

=269.5/7

=38.5cm²

area of four squares=38.5×4

=154cm²

area of remaining portion=196-154

=42cm²
