SOLUTION:-

One Infected person infects 2 people.

•°• a = t1 = 1, t2 = 2, t3 = 4

t4 = 8, t5 = 16.

Since, here the disease is multiplying, It might be in GP. lets check:-

r = t2/t1 = 2/1 = 2

r = t3/t2 = 4/2 = 2

r = t4/t3 = 8/4 = 2

Here the common ratio (r) is constant.

•°• The spread of disease is in G.P

The algebraic Explanation for this spread of disease is as follows:-

=> tn = ar^(n-1)

now,

We will find the number of people infected in 11th stage.

tn = ar^(n - 1)

t11 = ar^(11 - 1)

t11 = 1 × (2)¹⁰

t11 = 1 × 1024

t11 = 1024

The number of people infected in 11th stage is 1024 people.
