Electronegativity is the tendency to remove an e- from an isolated gaseous atom when bonded.

Notice that there is a huge difference in the electronegativity of A and B (B>A),  due to which B has more chance/tendency to attract the electrons of A.    Due to this, 'electrons are transferred'.

Hence an ionic compound is expected.

B and C have nearly same electronegativity, due to which they would rather go for sharing, instead of transferring.

Due to this,       covalent compound is expected b/w B and C.

Using criss cross method:

   Expected compound is:   A₂B
