To Prove:

cot∅ + tan∅ = sec∅.cosec∅

Solution:

L.H.S

 \cot \theta \: + tan \theta \\ \frac{ \cos \theta }{ \sin \theta } + \frac{ \sin \theta}{ \cos\theta } \\ \\ \frac{ \cos ^{2} \theta + \sin ^{2} \theta }{sin \theta.cos \theta} \\ \\ \frac{1}{ \sin \theta.\cos \theta} \\ \\ sec \theta.cosec \theta

Hence, L.H.S = R.H.S [ Proved ]

Using Identity

sin²∅ + cos²∅ = 1

Some basic Trigonometry Rule

cosec∅ = 1/sin∅

sec∅ = 1/cos∅

cot∅ = sin∅/cos∅

tan∅ = cos∅/sin∅
