Here,

Height of the Jet plane BC = DE = 1500√3

The angle of elevation of jet plane at a point A on the ground changes to 60° and 30°

So, BAC = 60° ; DAE = 30°

Let the distance travelled by jet plane in 15 seconds BD = x m

AB = y m ; AD = ( x + y )m

__________________________

➪︎ From ∆ ABC ,

tan 60° = BC / AB

√3 = 1500√3 / y [ tan 60° = √3 ]

y = 1500m

___________________________

➪︎ From ∆ ADE ,

tan 30° = DE / AD

1 / √3 = 1500√3 / x + y [ tan 30° = 1/√3]

x + y = 1500(√3)^2

x + 1500 = 4500

x = 4500 - 1500

x = 3000 m

____________________________

Distance travelled by Jet plane = 3000m

Time = 15 seconds

➪︎ Speed of Jet plane = Distance / Time

= 3000 / 15

= 200

✰︎ Speed of the Jet plane = 200 m / sec
