 \frac{x}{1}  -  \frac{1}{3x}  =  \frac{1}{6}  \\  \\  \frac{3 {x}^{2}  - 1}{3x}  =  \frac{1}{6}  \\  \\ 2(3 {x}^{2}  - 1) = x \\  \\ 6 {x}^{2}  - x - 1 = 0 \\  \\ 6 {x}^{2}  - 3x + 2x - 1 = 0 \\  \\ 3x(2x - 1) + 1(2x - 1) = 0 \\  \\ (3x + 1)(2x - 1) = 0 \\  \\

Either,

2x - 1 = 0

2x = 1

x = 1/2

or,

3x + 1 = 0

3x = -1

x = -1/3
