Dimensions of conference Hall:

Length = 14 m

Breadth = 8 m

Height = 4 m

Now total surface area of the hall = 2(14*8 + 8*4 + 14*4)

=} 2(112+32+56)

=} 2(200)

=} 400m²

Now,

Area of one window = l*b = 1*1.5 = 1.5m²

So, area of four windows = 4*1.5 = 6m²

and area of the door = l*b = 1*2 = 2m²

Now the total area to be painted of the hall = (400 -6-2)m²

=} 392 m²

Now moving on to question (a)

Acc. to question 1 Litres covers 18m²

So No. of Litres of paint which can cover 392 m² = 392/18 =} 21.8 Litres (approx)

Now moving on to question (b)

If 1 litre costs Rs.225 so

So 21.8 Litres costs = 225*21.8 =} Rs.4905
