Plz answer these 2 questions:-
Q1. Two times a number is a 100% increase in the number. If we take half the number what would be the decrease in percent?
Q.2 By what percent is 2000 less than 2400? Is it the same as the percent by which 2400 is more then 2000?

(a)Take the number as x.

If,

2x = x + 100x/100

and x=100%

Then x/2=100/2%

Therefore percentage decrease is 50%

(b)(i) 2400-2000/2400 * 100

= 400/2400 * 100

=100/6= 16 2/3 %

(ii) 2400-2000/2000 * 100

=1/5 * 100 = 20

Therefore the percentage differences are not same.
