1. The king of Brobdingnag is a giant, physically. He is big morally also because he treats his subjects well. Gulliver describes him as, a Prince of much gravity and austere countenance who is as learned a person as any in his dominions. He has been trained in the study of Philosophy and particularly Mathematics.

2. The tiny race of Lilliputians represent the petty and small minded aspects of the English and humankind in general. They are pompous, self important, self serving, hypocritical and dangerous in spite of their small size. Gulliver represents a middle class Englishman who is fundamentally decent and well intentioned. The Lilliputians are physically and morally smaller than Gulliver.

3. Lilliput and Blefuscu are two fictional island nations that appear in the first part of the novel, Gulliver's Travels. The novel was written by Jonathan Swift in 1726. The two islands are situated in the South Indian Ocean, separated by a eight hundred yards wide channel. They are inhabited by tiny people who are about one twelfth the height of ordinary human beings. Both the kingdoms are ruled by emperors. There is a rivalry between the two kingdoms
