hey there
area of rectangle = l * b
= 2*3 a square = 6 a square
(2).....length be 3*4x(as it is 3 times the breadth) 4x*3= 12x
now area = 12x 4x = 48x square
(3)......breadth = b
length = b square
area = b square * b
b power 3 square units :)

7.

Given length = 3a and breadth = 2a.

We know that Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                                                      = 2a * 3a

                                                      = 6a^2.

(8).

Given breadth = 4x.

Given that length is thrice its breadth.

Length = 3 * 4x

              = 12x.

We know that Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                                                       = 4x * 12x

                                                       = 48x^2

(9)

Given breadth = b.

Given length is square of breadth l = b^2.

We know that Area of rectangle = l * b

                                                       = b^2 * b

                                                       = b^3.

Hope this helps!
