Coorg is generally known as a coffee country . Evergreen rainforest cover 30 percent of this district. The season of joy commences from September and continues till March.The natural beauty of Coorg is just wonderful.The river Kaveri obtained it's water from the hills and forests of Coorg.Mahaseer-a large freshwater fish-abound in the waters of Coorg. Kingfisher drives for their catch , while Squirrels and Langurs drop partially eaten fruits. Elephants enjoy being bathed and scurbbed in the river by their mahouts. Birds,Bees, Butterflies are there to give company. Macaques,Malbar, Squirrels,Slender Lori's keep a watchful eye from the tea canopy.
