Given : A triangle and lines inside triangle

To find : number of Triangles

Solution:

There are 24 Triangles

6 triangles in top ( 3 with consecutive side , 2 with 1 side leaving & 1 with two side leaving)

Similarly 6 triangles with Slanting line as base

Similarly 6 triangles with bottom base

then 3 triangles with middle line & slanting line ( or their portion ) as two sides and three lines one by one as base

now 3 triangles with base line & slanting line ( or their portion ) as two sides and three lines one by one as base

Hence total triangle = 6 + 6 + 6 + 3 + 3 = 24
