Prove that the following number is irrational:

2 − 3√11​

let 2 − 3√11​  be a rational number

so, 2 − 3√11​=a/b

− 3√11​ =a-2b/b

√11​ =a-2b/-3b

a-2b/-3b is a rational number. So, √11 is also a rational number.

But this contradicts the fact that√11 id irrational.

So, 2 − 3√11 is a rational number.
