 {8}^{ - \frac{1}{3} }  = ( { \frac{1}{8} })^{ \frac{1}{3} }  = ( { \frac{1}{2 \times 2 \times 2} })^{ \frac{1}{3} }  = ( { \frac{1}{ {2}^{3} } })^{ \frac{1}{3} }  = \frac{1}{2}
