The value of a should be 0.
This is because when 0 is divided by some number the result is 0 after all.
So if a = 0 then b would be of some value, but the result will be x^0
As we know the exponential property that x^0 = 1.
So correct answer - 0.

Hey there,
Let's hope you know logarithms.
x^a/b=1
Applying log on both sides, we get-
alogx/b=log1
alogx/b=0
Therefore a/b=0
If b=0, then a/b will be ∞ which will not satisfy condition.
Hence b≠0, and a=0.
