simplify into (a+b)^2

((x)^2+2(x)(1)+(y)^2)-y^2

= (x+1)^2-(y)^2

now simplify using identity-> a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)

(x+1+y)(x+1-y)

Hope it helps!
