now,

Area of shaded region = Area of larger semicircle - Area of semicircle with KM diameter - Area of two smallest semicircle.

= 1/2π(r4)^2 - 1/2π(r3)^2 - 2×1/2π(r4)^2

=1/2π [ (r4)^2 - (r3)^2 - 2×(r4)^2 ]

= 1/2 × 22/7 [ (7)^2 - (3.5)^2 - 2(1.75)^2 ]

= 11/7 [ 49 - 12.25 - 6.12 ]

= 11/7 × 30.63

= 11 × 4.37

= 48.13 cm^2
