Let √20+√20+.... be x

√20+x=x

squaring both sides,

x²=20+x

x²-x-20=0

x²-5x+4x-20=0

x(x-5)+4(x-5)=0

(x-5)(x+4)=0

so if x²-5x-20 = 0

either (x-5)=0 or (x+4)=0

x-5=0

x=5

or,

x+4=0

x=-4

Thus,

roots of following equation are : 5 , -4
