I think option b) is correct.

Garv111: your ans is correct but can u explain why
gohan1: it is due to greater no. of hydrogen bonds due to more oxygen but option c )CH3COOH is not due to presence of bulky CH3 which hinders in formation of hydrogen bond

Hi friend,

The correct answer is option(a).

Reasons:- The acid group cooh is the weakest of all basic substances .

So in both b and c cade it is neglected.

In d case there is a vacant hydrogen bonding.

So the option a is the correct answer. Though the water contains intermolecular hydrogen bonding it us stronger than acid.
