Put 2 - √5 in p/q form
:- 2-√5 = p/q
:- -√5 = p/2q
So here p and q are integers...
Therefore they are rational.
But we know that -√5 is an irrational
:- A rational# Irrational
So our assumption is failed that -√5 is a rational
:- 2-√5 is a rational number
