Solution :-
Given ,
- Type of quadrilateral :- Rectangle
We need to find ,
- The value of x & y
As we know that ,
- Lengths & breadths are equal for a rectangle.
So ,
• 5x - 3 = 37 .… eq ( 1 )
• 2 ( y + 3 ) = 20 .… eq ( 2 )
By simplifying the both equations we cna find the value of x & y
♦ Equation ( 1 ) :-
⇒ 5x - 3 = 37
⇒ 5x = 37 + 3
⇒ 5x = 40
⇒ x = 40 ÷ 5
⇒ x = 8
♦ Equation ( 2 ) :-
⇒ 2 ( y + 3 ) = 20
⇒ 2y + 6 = 20
⇒ 2y = 20 - 6
⇒ 2y = 14
⇒ y = 14 ÷ 2
⇒ y = 7
Hence , x = 8 & y = 7
