tan 60 is root 3
cot 45 is 1
sec 30 is 2 / root 3
therefore, 2[(1/2)^4 + (1/2)^4] - [(root 3)^2 - (1)^2] + 3[2/root 3]^2 = 9/4
2(2/16) - 2 + 4
2/8 + 2
1/4 + 2
taking l.c.m, this becomes 1/4 + 8/4 = 9/4
9/4 = 9/4
