Given

  • 2x² + 5x + 3

To find

  • Factors

Solution

Sum and product rule :-

→ 2x² × 3 = 6x²

→ +2x +3x are factors of +5x as 2×3 = 6 and 2+3 = 5

  • 2x² + 2x + 3x + 3
  • 2x (x + 1) + 3 (x + 1)
  • (2x + 3) (x + 1)

(2x + 3) and (x + 1) are the factors of 2x² + 5x + 3
