when the poet through a piece of log on the snake he moved very violently towards his hole in a hurry as he was very scared the poet at once felt sorry and repented that it was a mean act he should not do that as every animal has right to live

When the poet hurled a log at the snake the snake writhed like lightning towards the hole of the wall through which it had come.
The poet repents after throwing the log at the snake as he feels he did a sinful job. He felt the same as the ancient mariner in the poem"The Rime of The Ancient Mariner
