Question :-

Total surface area of a cubical block of wood is 5400 cm. Find the side of cube.

Given :-

  • Total surface area of cubical block of wood is 5400 cm².

To find :-

  • The side of cube.

According to the question,

Total surface area of cubical block = 6a²

➞ 5400 = 6a²

➞ 5400 ÷ 6 = a²

➞ 900 = a²

➞ √900 = a

➞ 30 = a

  • So, the side of cube is 30 cm.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Total surface area of a cuboidal block of wood is 5400 cm sq.

To Find :-

  • What is the side of cube.

Formula Used :-

Total surface area = 6a²

Solution :-

Given :

  • T.S.A of a cuboidal block = 5400

According to the question by using the formula we get,

6a² = 5400

a² = 5400 ÷ 6

a² = 900

a = √900

a = 30

The side of cube is 30 cm .

Important Formula

◉ Total Surface area = 6(side)²

◉ Lateral surface area = 4(side)²

◉ Volume of cube = (side)³

◉ Diagonal of a cube = √3

◉ Perimeter of cube = 12 × side
