Let the required number be 3x

So according to question \frac{3}{4} ^{th} of \frac{1}{3} (3x) = 48

=> \frac{3}{4} (x) = 48

=> 3x = 192

Thus the required number is 192

Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

let number be x

therefore its \frac{1}{3} is \frac{x}{3}

the \frac{3}{4} of this number will be \frac{3}{4} x \frac{x}{3}      which is 4x

therefore according to question 4x=48

thus x is \frac{48}{4}=12
