i.e. |-x| = +x

(i) |3 - 5| = |-2| = 2
(ii) |15| + |-15| = 15 + 15 = 30
(iii) -|3| x |7| = -3 x 7 = -21
(iv) |-3| x 7 = 3 x 7 = 21
(v) |3| = 3
(vi) |-3| = 3
(vii) |0| = 0
(viii) |9 - 5| = |4| = 4
(ix) |8 - 13| = |-5| = 5

→ x - 5 = ± 2
→ x = 2 + 5 OR x = -2 +5

→ (10 - x)/2 = ± 1/4
→ (10 - x) = ± 1/2
→ x = 10 - 1/2 OR x = 10 + 1/2
Hence, x = 19/2 & 21/2

→ 3x - 5 = ± 1
→ 3x = 1 +5 OR 3x = -1 + 5
