Let x + y = u and x - y = v

then equations are

10/u + 2/v = 4 and 15/u + 5/v = -2

Solving simultaneously both the equations we get

u = 10/3 = x + y

and v = 2 = x - y

x + y = 10/3 ......(i)

and x - y = 2 ......(ii)

Adding above equations

2x = 16/3

x = 8/3

Find y putting x = 8/3 in (i)

we get y = 2/3
