\textbf{Given :-}

Here theta = A

sin A + sin² A = 1
sin A = 1 - sin² A ...........(1)

Using formula,

sin² A + cos² A = 1

So,

cos² A = 1 - sin² A ........(2)

Putting eq (2) in eq (1) , we get

sin A = cos² A .............(3)

Squaring both sides of eq (3)

(sin A)² = (cos² A)²

sin² A = cos⁴ A ................(4)

Now,

\textbf{To find :-}

cos² A + cos⁴ A

= sin A + sin² A [Using eq (3) and (4)]

= 1

The answer is 1.

\textbf{Hope this helps you.}
