Answer:

answer is 10

Step-by-step explanation:

X1 + X2 + X3 =  12

sum of 3 terms of an A.P. = S3 = 3/2 [2a+(3-1) d]

                                              12  = 3/2[2a+ 2d]

                                              8 = 2a + 2d

                                              a+ d = 8/2

                                               a + d = 4     -(i)

X1 + X2 +X3 = 12 and X4 + X5 = 14

on adding both these ,

X1 + X2 +X3 +X4 + X5 = 12 + 14 = 26

sum of 5 terms of A.P. = S5 = 5/2 [2a + (5-1)d]

                                      26 = 5/2 [2a+4d]

                                      10.4 = 2(a+2d)

                                      a + 2d = 5.2     -(ii)

Subtracting (i) from (Ii)

we get,

d = 1.2

putting value of d in (i)

a = 2.8

7th term =  a + 6d

              =  2.8 + 6(1.2)

             =  2.8 + 7.2

             =  10
