Failure of Wein’s law:

It just explains the energy distribution in short wavelength regions and fails to explain energy distribution for longer wavelength regions. According to this law, energy will be finite if temperature is zero, which is contradiction of Stefan’s law.

Successfully explained by Rayleigh-jeans law:

The above drawback of Wien’s law was successfully explained by Rayleigh-jeans law. According to which emissive power from a black body is directly proportional to absolute temperature and inversely proportional to λ^4.
