Let total people = x

Given females =

 \frac{6}{8} \: of \: the \: total \: people

 = \frac{6x}{8} = \frac{3x}{4}

So males are

x - \frac{3x}{4} = \frac{x}{4}

Difference between females and males

 = \frac{3x}{4} - \frac{x}{4} \\ = \frac{2x}{4} \\ = \frac{x}{2}

According to question

 \frac{x}{2} = 36 \\ = > x = 36 \times 2 = 72 \\

So total number of people is 72.

Males =

 \frac{x}{4} = \frac{72}{4} = 18 \\

Females = 72-18 = 54

Hope it helped you.. Kindly mark it brienliest.. ❤️❤️

6x/8=3x/4=female

Rest x/4 = male

Given 3x/4 - x/4 = 36

Find x = 72

Female = 54

Male = 18
