Given:-

Radius of the circular sheet = 5 cm

Radius of the circle removed from the sheet = 3 cm

To find:-

The area of the remaining sheet after the circle of radius 3 cm is removed from the sheet.

Solution:-

Area of the circular sheet = πr²

                                          = \pi 5^2

                                          = \frac{22}{7}*5*5

                                          = \frac{22}{7} *25

                                          = \boxed{78.57\ cm^2}

Area of the circle removed = πR²

                                             =\pi 3^2

                                             = \frac{22}{7}*3*3

                                             = \frac{22}{7} *9

                                             = \boxed{28.28\ cm^2}

Area of the remaining sheet = Area of the circular sheet - Area of the circle removed

Area of the remaining sheet = 78.57 - 28.28

                                               = 50.29 cm²

                                               = 50.3 cm²          (approx.)

∴Thus, the area of the remaining sheet is 50.3 cm².
