here's the answer :

Just see carefully if you observe in the denominator  after - 6 the further part  seems like y again .

Therefore the new equation can be written like this :

y = $\frac{-9}{-6 + y}$

⇒ y² - 6y = -9

On solving the quadratic equation by quadratic formula y = 6 /2 

⇒y = 3 

This is the answer
