Given x-y=7

2x-5y=-1

Multiply eq. 1 by 2,

2x-2y=14

By adding eq. 2 and 1,

We get 3y=13

Y=13/3 so put value of y in eq. 1 so x-13/3=7 then x=7+13/3

X=(21+13)/3

X=34/3.
