This is a question on food chain.

We realize that each member of a food chain plays an important role in the ecosystem.

Therefore they depend upon each other and the absence of one can have an effect on the ecosystem.

When the number of frogs decline all of a sudden , it will lead to a larger population of grasshoppers given that frogs feed on grasshoppers .

When the grasshoppers increase they will feed on the paddy and hence the paddy decrease.

Since the frog is what snakes feed on , and the frogs have decreased in number ,the snakes will also decrease in number.

The summary is as follows :

The paddy decreases , The grasshoppers increase and the snakes decrease.

The overall effect will be that , we will end up with an imbalance in the ecosystem .
