Answer:

Answer is 80

Step-by-step explanation:

(x + y)² = x² + 2xy + y²

Given That x + y = 12 and xy = 32

On Substituting;

(12)² = x² + 2 ( 32 ) + y²

144 = x² + y² + 64

144 - 64 = x² + y²

80 = x² + y²

Hope it helps youuu

x+y=12

xy=32

x^2+y^2=?

(x+y)^2= x^2+y^2+2xy

substitute the values

12^2=x^2+y^2+2×32

144=x^2+y^2+64

x^2+y^2=144-64

x^2+y^2=80
