Dear Diary:
I had a wonderful experience today! First time in my life
I got an opportunity to dive in the sea using diving gear. The water was cold; I took a deep breath and
jumped into it. As I opened my eyes underwater, I found an infinitely beautiful
aquatic world. Colourful fishes encircled me wondering at my underwater
swimming gear. In the black gear and oxygen cylinder at my back and the
flippers, I must have looked like a weird sea animal. I kept exploring the
depths of the sea. However, my joy was short-lived. Just a few hundred meters
from where I had dived, I saw the city drainage conduits pouring forth the
black sewage effluents and other black toxic water into the pure blue water of
the ocean. I also saw a few carcasses of
dead fishes and other sea animals. I just felt so shocked.
