Aim: To balance the chemical Equation

Equation:HN\bold {O}_{3} +Ca\big(\bold{OH}_{2}\big)\longrightarrow Ca(\big{N{O}_{3}}\big)}_{2} + \bold {H}_{2} O

Here we have,

______________________________________________________________

In LHS,

H atoms- 3 O atoms- 5 N atoms - 1 Ca-1

In RHS,

H atoms - 2 O atoms - 7 N atoms - 2 Ca- 1

______________________________________________________________

In LHS

we can Multiply HNO3 by 2

so we get total

4 atoms of H

2 atoms of N

8 atoms of O

in LHS

now,

IN RHS,

we Multiply H20 by 2

we get

4 atoms of H

8 atoms of O

so therefore The Equation is balanced

Final Reaction

2 x HNO +Ca(OH)2 --------> Ca(NO3)2 + 2 x H2O
