bro i think there are problem in both question bcz
17) x is positive so it will not subtracted which means x should be there after = sign. but it is not there
18) x is positive here also which mean it should be added but after = to sign we have 3x. which mean it is subtracted
This is my thinking i am in 10th class if this question is of higher class then sorry
