AnswEr :

Value of given expression is 6

Explanation :

Let the given polynomial be p(x) = x² + 3x - 2

On comparing the above polynomial with p(x) = ax² + bx + c

  • a= 1
  • b = 3
  • c = - 3

We know that,

  • Sum of Zeros = - b/a

  • Product of Zeros = c/a

If \alpha \ \sf{and} \ \beta are the zeros of the above polynomial

We would have,

Sum of Zeros :

  \sf \: \alpha + \beta = - 3

Product of Zeros :

 \sf \: \alpha \beta = - 2

Now,

 { \alpha \beta }^{2} + { \beta \alpha }^{2} \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: \sf \: \alpha \beta ( \alpha + \beta ) \\ \\ \longrightarrow \: \sf \: ( - 2)( - 3) \\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf \: 6
