Because Comet and tails are made with particles of stars They come from very far from Earth gravity at atmosphere pull comet and tails opposite to the sun direction

Comet tail is not always opposite to direction of sun but is opposite to its motion as the force is applied by atmosphere on it in opposite to its motion direction .
