Snell's Law of refraction states that the ratio of the sines of the angles of incidence and refraction of a wave are constant when it passes between two given media.

\frac{sin_i}{sin_r} = constant

Snell's law states that "the ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of reflection for light of given colour is constant for a given pair of media."

            sin i / sin r = constant
