here take 1st factor (x-1/2)=compare it with(x-a )
a=1/2 then put it in eq. again take another factor (x-2) and compare a=2 then put in eq after that solve these eq. we get p=r

-->x=1/2 and x=2( As x-1/2=0 andx-2=0)
