Explanation:

i) O to Q its 5m and distance of R from O is 10m

so, displacement = OQ + QR

= 5 + 5

=10m

path = OQ + QR

= 5 + 5

= 10m

ii) Displacement = |QR + RT|

= |5 + (-7)| …(bcoz, RT = OR - OT)

= 3m

Path = QR + RT

= 5 + 7

= 12m

iii) Displacement = RT = 7m

Path = RT = 7m

Remark - Displacement = path, when object moves in a straight line in a single direction.

The answers(displacement and path) are with respect to there starting points.
