gdfvirx: see carbon has 4 electron to share and cooh is a functional grp it will join with rest chain by giving 1 electron left 3 Oh requires only one he give one to him left 2 electron and 1 oxygen so by making double bond both oxygen requirement will fulfilled and carbon will left with no electron ..XD
