Participles are forms of verbs which partake of the nature of both an adjective and a verb.
Two types
1. Present Participles express an action going on and not completed and are formed by adding "-ing"
2. Past Participles express an action complete and are formed by adding ed, d, t, etc.
e.g., This a charming scenery
He is a learned man
Gerund is a noun-verbal in -ing.
e.g., Walking is a good habit
