It means India was ruled by British from England that was distance of thousand miles. When Mughals were the ruler they came in India settled here n became Indians. The revenues collected were used for the development of Indians but in case of britishers they drained the wealth from India to England without any proper economic return to India and it was no way benefitted to Indians...
