The Modern Periodic table is the improved version of Mendeleev's periodic table .
It consists of 18  vertical groups and 7 horizontal tables.

The table can also be deconstructed into four rectangular blocks: the s-block to the left, the p-block to the right, the d-block in the middle, and the f-block below that.
In this type of table the elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic number. This distribution of elements into periods and groups makes it easy to study the properties of elements.
The groups are alkali metals , alkali earth metal , followed by the transistion metals., then pnicogens , chalcogens , halogens and at last the noble gases.
The basic trends of the periodic tables are electronic configuration, atomic radii, ionisation potential, electron affinity , electronegativity, metallic and non-metallic property , acidic and basic property  and so on..

Modern peroidic table consist of 18 groups nd 7periods. Groups are horizontal nd periods are in vertical . There is a speciall group for the noble gases ,alkali nd alkaline earth metals. Due to grouping there is a easier classification of all the elements..
